This is a targeted opportunity for emerging film producers who have:
a script in advanced development that is ready to share with potential financing partners such as sales agents and distributors.
a draft finance plan and pitch ready for the market
This opportunity is for emerging producers who have not yet been the lead finance producer on a feature film that has been successfully financed into production. You may have already attended other markets, or this might be your first market.
We anticipate producers who apply for this programme will have previous lead producing credits on NZFC funded short films, TV series, other independently made feature films or short films with significant international festival selections . Priority will be given to producers whose project(s) has been developed with NZFC funding support.

There is no expectation that projects will have already secured production financing. We are interested in your strategy and pitch to progress your project towards that goal.

Please both apply individually to the programme and to MIFF 37 South and we will consider you as a team.

MIFF 37 South Bridging the Gap is generally geared towards one-on-one producer - financier meetings. There are always exceptions-feel free to contact us via email if you want to discuss this.

Selection will be undertaken by a panel of experienced NZ producers. Decisions are made on the basis of an assessment of the experience of the producer, stage of the project, likelihood of the project and producer to benefit from the market and fit for the programme and for 37 South : Bridging the Gap.
